Add Field Conflict Filter

Adds a field conflict filter for a given field in a geodatabase table or feature class.

Field conflict filters can be applied to versioned tables or feature classes to prevent conflicts from being identified when the same attribute is updated in the parent and child versions. Field conflict filters only apply for reconciles in which conflicts are defined by attribute.

1.    Input Table

Table or feature class containing the field or fields to be added as conflict filters.

2.    Fields to Filter

Field or list of fields to add as conflict filters.

Alter Version

Alters the geodatabase version's name, description, and access permissions.

1.    Input Database Connection

The database connection file to the enterprise, workgroup, or desktop geodatabase where the version to be altered is located.

2.    Input Version

The name of the version to be altered.

3.    Version Name (optional)

If you are changing the version name, enter the new name for the version.Version Description (optional) If you are changing the version description, enter the new description for the version.

Change Version

Each input feature layer or table view will have its workspace modified to connect to the requested version.

1.    Input Feature Layer or Table View

The feature layer or table view to connect to using the specified version.

2.    Version Type

The type of version to change to.

  1. TRANSACTIONAL—Connect to a defined state of the database.
  2. HISTORICAL—Connect to a version representing a defined moment in time, often specified by a time or Historical Marker.

3.    Version Name (optional)

Name of the version to change to. Optional if using historical versions.

4.    Date and Time (optional)

Date of the historical version to change to.

Create Version

Creates a new version in the specified geodatabase.

1.    Input Database Connection

The enterprise geodatabase that contains the parent version and will contain the new version.

2.    Parent Version

The geodatabase, or version of a geodatabase, on which the new version will be based.

3.    Version Name

The name of the version to be created.

4.    Access Permission (optional)

The permission access level for the version to protect it from being edited or viewed by users other than the owner.

  1. PRIVATE—Only the owner or the geodatabase administrator can view and modify the version or versioned data.
  2. PUBLIC—Any user can view the version. Any user who has been granted read/write (update, insert, and delete) permissions on datasets can modify datasets in the version.
  3. PROTECTED—Any user can view the version, but only the owner or the geodatabase administrator can edit the version or datasets in the version.
