Layer 3D to Feature Class

Exports feature layers with 3D display properties to 3D lines or multipatch features.

1.    Input Feature Layer

The input feature layer with 3D display properties defined.

2.    Output Feature Class

Extruded points are exported as 3D lines. Points with 3D symbols, extruded lines, and polygons are exported as multipatch features.

3.    Grouping Field (optional)

The input feature's text field that will be used to merge multiple input features into the same output feature. The resulting output's remaining attributes will be inherited from one of the input records.

Change LAS Class Codes

Reassigns the classification codes and flags of LAS files.

1.    Input LAS Dataset

The LAS dataset to process.

2.    Class Codes

Specify the current class code value in the input field, then press the + button to add the number to the reclassification table. Once the current class code has been added, the new class code can be written directly into the corresponding cell on the table.

3.    Compute Statistics (optional)

Specifies whether statistics should be computed for the LAS files referenced by the LAS dataset. Computing statistics provides a spatial index for each LAS file, which improves analysis and display performance. Statistics also enhance the filtering and symbology experience by limiting the display of LAS attributes, like classification codes and return information, to values that are present in the LAS file.

· Checked—Statistics will be computed.

· Unchecked—Statistics will not be computed. This is the default.

4.    Processing Extent (optional)

Specifies the extent of the data that will be evaluated by this tool.

5.    Processing Boundary (optional)

A polygon feature that defines the area of interest to be processed by this tool.

6.    Process entire LAS files that intersect extent (optional)

Specifies how the area of interest will be used in determining how LAS files will be processed. The area of interest is defined by the Processing Extent, the Processing Boundary , or a combination of both.

· Unchecked—Only LAS points that intersect the area of interest will be processed. This is the default.

· Checked—If any portion of a LAS file intersects the area of interest, all the points in that LAS file, including those outside the area of interest, will be processed.
