Export Raster Catalog Paths

Creates a table listing the paths to the raster datasets contained in an unmanaged raster catalog or a mosaic dataset. The table can display all the file paths, or just the ones that are broken.

1.    Input Data

The input unmanaged raster catalog or mosaic dataset.

2.    Export Mode

Choose what paths to output to the table. You can choose to output all the file paths, or just the ones that are broken.

Choose the repair mode you would like to use.

  1. BROKEN—This option will export only the broken paths to the table.
  2. ALL—This option will export all the paths to the table.

3.    Output Table

The output table. This table can be created as a DBF file or within a geodatabase.

The output table will have a field that lists the Source OID. This is the OID of the row in the original raster catalog table.

Repair Raster Catalog Paths

Repairs broken file paths or deletes broken links within an unmanaged raster catalog or a mosaic dataset.

1.    Input Data

The unmanaged raster catalog or mosaic dataset to be repaired.

2.    Repair Mode

Choose the repair mode you would like to use.

FIX—This option will allow you to fix the paths.

REMOVE—This option will remove any broken links that exist.

3.    Original Path (optional)

Type the original path that needs to be repaired. This is a required parameter if the FIX option was chosen.

If you want to change all your paths to the new path, you are able to use the asterisk (*) as the original path.

4.    New Path (optional)

Type the new path to use. This is a required parameter if the FIX option was chosen.

Workspace to Raster Catalog

Loads all the raster datasets stored in the same workspace into an existing raster catalog.

1.    Input Workspace

The workspace that contains all the raster datasets to be loaded into the raster catalog.

2.    Target Raster Catalog

An existing raster catalog that will have all the raster datasets from the workspace loaded into it.

3.    Include Sub-directories (optional)

Specify whether to include subdirectories.

  1. Unchecked—Does not include subdirectories. This is the default.
  2. Checked—Includes all the raster datasets in the subdirectories when loading.

4.    Project on-the-fly (optional)

Specify whether to project the raster datasets projected on the fly.

  1. Unchecked—All raster datasets are loaded into the raster catalog with the original spatial reference of the raster dataset. This is the default.
  2. Checked—All raster datasets will be projected on the fly (to the coordinate system specified in the raster column) when loaded into the raster catalog.
