One of the most important jobs of a geographer is choosing the path of roads, bridges and tunnels, he is the one who chooses the narrowest point between the two banks of the river or the depth of the river, as well as the intensity of the speed of the river’s current, in addition to studying the two regions or cities that will be linked by a bridge or dig a tunnel to reduce a traffic crisis, for example.

In the event that all of those projects mentioned earlier in this article are assigned to engineers and the role of geographers is ignored, then most of those projects may fail or at least not achieve the desired goal, or in parentheses the error rate increases greatly in all stages of the project.

Many governments do not distinguish between the role of the geographer and the role of the military officer through the development of maps and their explanation and easy and simple methods of presentation by the geographer, in addition to maps of studying the soil and topography of the area on which the military operations will be conducted, as well as the climatic conditions that a region will witness in the military operations, on The basis of those studies that the geographer studies and presents to the military officers comes the role of the military officer to choose the type of weapon used, its quantity, the type of clothing and equipment required, as well as the selection of defense and attack sites.
It is very sad to find in the Arab military rooms devoid of any geographer, or that his role is assigned to the military officer, and perhaps for this reason we lose military battles, unlike foreign countries in which the geographer places the largest role in military operations, while we Arabs depend on the job of the geographer through the officer The military and marginalized its real geographical role.

In developed countries and smart cities, we find that the job of the geographer in the Ministry of Health has a great role as it provides a detailed report on the expected climatic conditions during the coming months or the creation of disease spread maps, in other words employing medical geography within the Ministry of Health.

A geographer in developed countries can not allow any plane to take off without providing a map of the climatic conditions that allow for takeoff.
