Repair Version Metadata
Repairs inconsistencies
within the versioning system tables of a versioned geodatabase.
1. Input Database Connection
Provide a database
connection (.sde file) to the enterprise, workgroup, or desktop geodatabase for
which you want to repair inconsistencies in the versioning system tables.
The
connection must be made as the geodatabase administrator.
2. Repair version metadata logfile output
The output log file. The
log file is an ASCII file containing the results of the repair operation.

Repair Version Tables
Repairs inconsistencies
in the delta (A and D) tables of a versioned geodatabase.
1. Input Database Connection
Provide a database
connection (.sde file) to the enterprise, workgroup, or desktop geodatabase in
which delta table inconsistencies exist. The connection must be made as the
geodatabase administrator.
2. Repair Version Tables log
Specify the location
where the log file will be written and include the name to use for the log
file. The log file is an ASCII file containing the results of the repair
operation.
3. Target Version (optional)
This drop-down list is
populated with the existing versions in the geodatabase specified for the Input
Database Connection. Choose which geodatabase version to repair. If no version
is selected, all versions are processed.
4. Input Tables (optional)
Specify a single table
or provide a text file containing a list of versioned tables whose associated
delta tables you want to repair. Use fully-qualified table names in the text
file, and place one table name per line.
If no table or file is specified, all
tables are processed.

Update Enterprise Geodatabase
License
Enterprise geodatabases
are licensed through an ArcGIS Server authorization file. The geodatabase
stores this authorization information to allow access to the geodatabase.
If your organization
licenses ArcGIS Server for a set time period, your geodatabase administrator
can run the Update Enterprise Geodatabase License tool with a new ArcGIS Server
authorization file to update license information in the geodatabase before the
existing license expires. This allows clients to continue working with the
geodatabase without interruptions caused by expired licenses.
1. Input Database Connection
Provide a database
connection (.sde file) to the enterprise geodatabase you want to authorize with
a new ArcGIS Server enterprise authorization file.
You must connect to the
database as the geodatabase administrator.
2. Input License Key File
Provide the path and
file name of the keycodes file generated when you authorized ArcGIS Server
enterprise. If necessary, copy the file from the ArcGIS Server machine to a
directory that the tool can access.
ArcGIS Server creates the keycodes file in the following location: \\Program Files\ESRI\License<release#>\sysgen (Windows servers) or /arcgis/server/framework/runtime/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ESRI/License<release#>/sysgen (Linux servers).

Upgrade Dataset
Upgrades the schema of a
mosaic dataset, network dataset, or parcel fabric to the current ArcGIS
release. Upgrading the dataset allows the dataset to make use of new
functionality available in the current software release.
1. Dataset to upgrade
Dataset that will be
upgraded to the current ArcGIS client release.

Upgrade Geodatabase
Upgrades a geodatabase
to the latest ArcGIS release to take advantage of new functionality.
You must have the
current release of ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Server installed on the computer
from which you will run the upgrade. For enterprise geodatabases, you must
connect directly to the geodatabase to upgrade; you cannot connect through an
ArcSDE service.
1. Input Geodatabase
Specify the geodatabase
to upgrade. When upgrading a desktop, workgroup, or enterprise geodatabase,
specify a database connection file (.sde) that connects to the geodatabase as
the geodatabase administrator
2. Perform Pre-Requisite Check
Check Perform
Pre-Requisite Check to run the prerequisite check prior to upgrading the
geodatabase.
3. Upgrade Geodatabase
Check Upgrade
Geodatabase to upgrade the specified geodatabase to match the release of the
ArcGIS client from which you are running the tool.
Upgrade Spatial Reference
How to Upgrade Spatial
Reference Tool in ArcToolbox ArcMap ArcGIS??Upgrade Spatial Reference
Path to access the tool
:
Upgrade Spatial Reference Tool, Geodatabase Administration Toolset, Data Management Tools Toolbox
Upgrade Spatial Reference
Upgrades a low precision
dataset's spatial reference to high precision.
Input to this tool is a
stand-alone feature class, feature dataset, or raster catalog which has a low
resolution spatial reference and is stored in a current version personal or
ArcSDE geodatabase. The origin and precision of the high precision spatial
reference grid will mesh with the existing low precision grid. For
each point of the original low precision spatial reference grid there is a
point in the new high precision spatial reference grid.
Coordinate values will
not be affected by the upgrade.
1. Input Dataset
The input dataset whose
spatial reference precision will be upgraded. Valid input is a feature class,
feature dataset, or raster catalog with a low resolution spatial reference,
stored in a 9.2 or current version personal or ArcSDE geodatabase.
2. XY Resolution (optional)
The value to which the
dataset's XY Resolution will be changed as part of the upgrade. The maximum
value is the same as the dataset's current XY Resolution.
3. Z Resolution (optional)
The value to which the
dataset's Z Resolution will be changed as part of the upgrade. The maximum
value is the same as the dataset's current Z Resolution. By default, the
resolution will be improved by a factor of 4.
4. M Resolution (optional)
The value to which the dataset's M Resolution will be changed as part of the upgrade. The maximum value is the same as the dataset's current M Resolution. By default, the resolution will be improved by a factor of 4.
