Excel To Table

Converts Microsoft Excel files into a table.

1.    Input Excel File

The Microsoft Excel file to convert.

2.    Output Table

The output table.

3.    Sheet (optional)

The name of the particular sheet within the Excel file to import. If unspecified, the first sheet in the workbook will be used.

Table To Excel

Converts a table to a Microsoft Excel file.

1.    Input Table

The table to be converted to Microsoft Excel format.

2.    Output Excel File

The output Microsoft Excel file.

3.    Use field alias as column header (optional)

How column names in the output are determined.

· Unchecked—Column headers will be set using the input's field names. This is the default.

· Checked—Column headers will be set using the input geodatabase table's field aliases. If the input is a layer in a map, the value set on the layer's field alias is ignored.

4.     Use domain and subtype description (optional)

Controls how values from subtype fields or fields with a coded value domain are transferred to the output.

· Unchecked—All field values will be used as they are stored in the table. This is the default.

· Checked—For subtype fields, the subtype description will be used. For fields with a coded value domain, the coded value descriptions will be used.
