Append Terrain Points
Appends points to a point feature referenced by
a terrain dataset.
1.Input
Terrain
The terrain dataset to process.
Input Terrain Data Source
The feature class that contributes to the terrain dataset into which the
points or multipoints will be added.
Input Points
The feature class of points or multipoints to add as an additional data
source for the terrain dataset.
Area of Interest (optional)
Specify a polygon feature class or extent values to define the area where
point features will be added. This parameter is empty by default, which results
in all the points from the input feature class being loaded to the terrain
feature.

Build Terrain
Performs tasks required
for analyzing and displaying a terrain dataset.Input Terrain
1.Input Terrain
The terrain dataset to process.Update Extent (optional)The terrain dataset to process.
2.Update Extent (optional)
Recalculates the data extent of a
window-size-based terrain dataset when the data area has been reduced through
editing. It is not needed if the data extent has increased or if the terrain
dataset is z-tolerance based. It will scan through all the terrain data to
determine the new extent.
·NO_UPDATE_EXTENT— The extent of the terrain dataset will not be
recalculated. This is the default.
·UPDATE_EXTENT— The extent of the terrain dataset will be
recalculated.

Change Terrain Reference Scale
Changes the reference
scale associated with a terrain pyramid level.
1. Input Terrain
The terrain dataset to
process.
2. Old Reference Scale
The reference scale of
an existing pyramid level.
3. New Reference Scale
The new reference scale
for the pyramid level.
The point features that represent the LAS points detected within the
specified proximity of the input features.
Output Geometry Type (optional)
Specifies the geometry of the output point features that represent the LAS
points found within the specified proximity of the input features.
·MULTIPOINT—Multipoint features that will have multiple points in each row.
·POINT—Single-point features that will have a unique row for each
identified LAS point.
New Class Code (optional)
The class code value that will be used to reclassify the points found
within the search radius of the input features.
Compute Statistics (optional)
Specifies whether statistics should be computed for the LAS files
referenced by the LAS dataset. Computing statistics provides a spatial index
for each LAS file, which improves analysis and display performance. Statistics
also enhance the filtering and symbology experience by limiting the display of
LAS attributes, like classification codes and return information, to values
that are present in the LAS file.
·Checked—Statistics will be computed.
·Unchecked—Statistics will not be computed. This is the default.
